The Cardinal Hotel

Historical landmark building gets a new start in Winston-Salem, North Carolina

As the lead graphic designer and strategist at Theresa Fatino Design, I conducting thorough historical research of Winston-Salem, immersing myself in the culture, and integrated boutique hotel trends to create the brand identity for Kimpton’s new hotel. I led the corporate team through the naming process by creating all of the presentations in addition to creating all of the research and graphic and assets.

Once the brand identity was established I created brand guidelines as well as every piece of hotel collateral as well as the exterior signage. I also created and oversaw the production of my original wall art, textiles, wallpapers, and table top graphics for the hotel.

The Jameson Lodge

Taking a tranquil mountain-top Airbnb to new heights

I had the honor of leading the owners of a historical mountain estate through the family's first naming and branding process, creating a thoughtful and site-specific identity. The logo was inspired by the historical ceramic tiles embedded in the bannister railing that lines the exterior decks. The family was very interested in communicating the history of the house on the website and throughout the guest experience, so I took their compiled research of articles, images and books and created a written and visual narrative for guests to appreciate.

I provided full-service naming, branding, website building and copywriting for all aspects of the digital and printed business collateral and social media. I created extensive photographic assets and guidelines to continue to build the user engagement on social media as well as experientially within each space.

I also designed and oversaw the building of the lodge’s greenhouse, which was useful not only to the family, but became a unique amenity for the guests.

Stephen Glassman Studio

A re-awakening for an artist as he reveals the largest work of his career

While working simultaneously on the architectural project “Flows Two Ways,” I led a comprehensive re-branding initiative for the studio to maximize the exposure of the project. This involved creating a new logo system, creating all new digital and printed studio collateral, cataloguing and organizing his oeuvre of work, and creating a new website.

I also managed all of the copywriting and content creation of social media assets and strategy in order to expand the studio's reach and foster engagement.

SOURCE

An established Los Angeles farm needed a complete vision for the future

I had the privilege of leading the executive team through the company's first naming and branding process, ensuring a strong and distinctive identity. In order to cater to diverse demographics, I developed two additional product lines that resonated with target consumers based on market research. I created social media identities for all three brands, and oversaw content creation for all media, often collaborating with up to ten creators at a time across numerous platforms and mediums at every stage of production.

To uphold industry standards and compliance with the BCC guidelines, I personally designed one of a kind—now patented—packaging, and oversaw the creation and development of all packaging and collateral materials. In addition, I took the initiative to establish best practices protocols for our design and packaging teams, fostering efficiency, quality control—and ultimately success—throughout all operations.

NATIVE RECORDS

Creating an elevated experience in the compliance and record-keeping service industry

I had the privilege of co-founding this company, and I assumed responsibility for the naming and branding, the design and function of the website, and collaborated on all written content. I created all the digital and printed business collateral, ensuring a consistent brand identity. In addition, I contributed to the vision for its ultimate business direction — implementing crucial administrative and best-practice protocols to ensure seamless operations.

Playing a significant role in the company's growth, I conducted interviews and effectively hired a capable and dedicated team, comprising both managerial and support staff. Working together, we built a cohesive and enthusiastic group that drives the company’s success.

To maintain open communication and monitor our performance effectively, I organized and lead remote bi-monthly meetings with the management team. These sessions served as valuable opportunities to evaluate client relations and address important matters that contribute to continuous improvement. Our collaborative efforts and dedication as a team were instrumental in achieving the goals of NATIVE RECORDS.

The Otheroom

The Otheroom is an established, thriving bar and restaurant in the West Village of New York City. The owners secured a second location in Venice, California on Abbot Kinney, and wanted to enhance their existing brand identity. I created a primary logo and logo stamp as well as style guides and suggested stying for branded imagery.

Installation Magazine

Installation Magazine needed a proposal for an editorial collaboration with the Ace Hotel: Palm Springs during Desert X, as well as an invitation for emerging artist Matthew Moret’s first solo exhibition at the Magazine’s gallery space in Santa Monica.
